Students Bridge the Hunger Gap with Pasta
More than 900 Winnipeg students competed to build the strongest spaghetti and glue bridge at the annual Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba Spaghetti Bridge Competition.
A pair of students from grade 3 at Ecole Riviere Rouge built the strongest bridge—incredibly holding 195 kg before breaking!
The Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba sponsor and judge the event, donating $2 for every combined kilogram the 450 bridges held, leading to a total donation of $24,795.20.
We are so proud to be supported by events and groups like this, who are providing hands-on learning experiences to young students, while also supporting Winnipeg Harvest in our goal to fight hunger and feed hope.
