The Harvest Garden is situated on an 11,000 square foot lot behind our warehouse.

The garden currently consists of a mixture of 60 raised beds, more than 350 blue-box garden containers and a focus on recycling old materials to make new garden features.

Staying true to the values of Winnipeg Harvest, the construction and maintenance of the Harvest Garden is carried out entirely by volunteers.

With nearly 8,000 people volunteering at Winnipeg Harvest annually we have a great opportunity to educate the public about the benefits of urban agriculture and the importance of food security.

Produce harvested from the Harvest Garden makes it to our commercial kitchen for daily lunches for up to 150 volunteers. It is also distributed to local agencies and food banks. Activities from the Harvest Garden will run in conjunction with the Grow-A-Row program that requests Manitobans to donate a row of their garden to Winnipeg Harvest.

Happy Gardening!
