Winnipeg Harvest is proud to welcome Brett Anderson as our newest board member. Brett is an accountant with KPMG Canada and has been volunteering his time with Winnipeg Harvest for years. He enjoys being able to see first-hand the impact one person volunteering their time, can have on our communities.
“I feel it’s very important to be a part of the impact. This is a necessity for people and it’s something everyone should have access to” said Anderson. “If I can help in this way, and also use my voice to direct others to help as well, then of course I will”.
In addition to donating his time, Brett also enjoys keeping a busy extra-curricular life outside of the office by spending time outdoors and participates in various sports. He urges anyone interested in volunteering their time with Winnipeg Harvest, to set aside the time and do it.
“I would say what drives me to help is the community”, he says. “You see the immediate benefit when you’re here. I have seen individuals picking up from the food bank one week, and later as volunteers, helping others in their situation. Everyone is working together for this cause, because it’s worth it”.
Welcome again to Brett Anderson.
