Position Sortation Lead
Days Mon – Sat, 1-2 shifts a week, min. 3 month commitment
Shifts Monday – Saturday: Morning (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.), Afternoon (12 – 3 p.m.)

Monday – Friday: Evenings (5:30 – 8:30 p.m.)

Description Assist in guiding all team members to appropriately sort food (non-perishable food)
Help train volunteers in how to properly read best before dates and expiry dates
Help train volunteers in deciphering “good quality control” in regard to: proper packaging, and dented cans
Ensure appropriate “keep dates” are written on the display area
Ability to read manuals to understand production codes and best before dates
Call manufacturing companies to verify best before dates
Ability to use computer
Maintain Health & Safety standards
Encourage team members to keep all areas clean
Comfortable working in a warehouse setting
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Must be able to use a pallet jack

Ability to communicate effectively in English (speak, read and write); ability to speak other languages an asset
