Partnership for Change is a joint venture between Winnipeg Harvest and Louis Riel School Division. The partnership is centered on a year-long outcome-based and experience-rich curriculum project that revolves around the pillars of Education for Sustainable Development that is rooted in topics found in Manitoba’s grades 5 and 6 Health, Science and Social Studies curricula. Four classrooms are involved seven times per year with activities ranging from food skills, garden training, warehouse volunteering and creative social justice art projects to learning about hunger, poverty, food systems and food from a cultural perspective.
