Our Public Education team works with clients and organizations to help those who live with hunger and poverty. The goal is to support clients as they move from emergency food to independent, healthy living.
At the same time, Winnipeg Harvest raises awareness of issues of food security and the reasons people live in poverty. We provide a variety of support services, including referrals to appropriate resources.

The Oppression Workshop
Winnipeg Harvest partners with post-secondary institutions across the province to provide vital information about poverty reduction, food assistance, and oppression.
Working with educators and Winnipeg Harvest team members, we run workshops with post-secondary students to help inform future leaders about the goals and mission of Winnipeg Harvest.
If you would like to learn more about the oppression workshop, use the contact information above.
Living on Less
This interactive activity works to break the stereotype of what society thinks of a typical food bank client and allows students to understand the challenges and decisions working families need to make in order to get by each month. Learn more about Living on Less here.
