The Harvest Abilities Garden
This remarkable place will come into existence in early 2012 and will be accessible to all. This space will be evocative, intergenerational, and culturally inclusive. This energy of this garden will grow bridges, spin webs, share stories and magically eliminate the borders – both real and perceived that society has become all too familiar with.
Programming within this inclusive and unique space will include but not be limted to:
Grandmother’s Garden – A program focused to empower Aboriginal youth through traditional teachings, the values of participation, sharing and community focused on growing and ocurring within a garden.
Master Composter - A program designed to mentor, encourage and train individuals to take responsibility for their workplace readiness.
Harvest Pockets – A program designed to introduce individuals to the meaningful and relevant process for growing food at home and taking responsibility for their contribution to food supply at home.
Urban Bounty - A program designed to introduce individuals with limited space to the meaningful and relevant process for growing food at home.
