Garden to Kitchen Program
This year, we’re launching the Garden to Kitchen Program with an aim of teaching people how to grow more food in an urban setting and how to cook with the fresh produce they grow.
Winnipeg Harvest is home to 10,000 square feet of garden space where we grow a variety of vegetables. We will be using fresh produce from this garden in our kitchen to serve at lunch time, and sending it out with emergency food kits for families as well.
Another great program will be our Kitchen Training Program where participants will learn practical cooking skills to help them find work in the culinary industry.
